EAA was in town again the last week of July. Our friend, Jen, got free passes for Wednesday so Andrew and I took the kids for a morning of fun at KidVenture!
On our way to the kid's activities we passed a war plane. We were able to enter and explore it. Nate took a turn "flying" the plane. (If you notice, he made sure to stop and put his seat belt on - Safety First!)

After the war plane we went to the activities tent. First stop was to make our own planes. These weren't cheap flimsy planes, either. They were nice thick wood with windows and writing on them.

The activities tent also had pedal planes! How cool are these things?! The kids took a few spins around the circle of cones:
After the pedal planes we went to another tent that had more advanced booths. We only stopped at one, the booth that walked about wind and lift. The kids each made a plane wing and put it in the wind tunnel to see how they could make it fly by tilting the wing.

This tent will be a fun one when the kids are a bit older. Lots of science and physics happening in that tent! :)

We then headed over to the bus stop so that we could get to the main grounds. There was a helicopter and another plane that the kiddos could climb on.

We made it to the main grounds. I wanted a nice family picture, but Mads wasn't having it. So we went with an adorable picture of Nate instead! :)
Our main objective at the main grounds was to find the educational area and the History Channel booth. Karl was working the booth and it sounded like THE place to be. We got there and found out why - check out the goodies the kids got! Folding sunglasses, bandannas, koozies on a string and barbecue sauce!
Then we found flags at a nearby booth to complete the "ensemble"

We wandered a bit more and came upon the John Deere tent. The kids tried out a few of the machines. Nate practiced mowing the lawn:
Then Mads and Nate let Isiah take them on an off road adventure in the Gator!
Fun times! Now that we know about the KidVenture area I would definitely go back to EAA again!
