Informative Update
Just wanted to let my blog readers know that there will be a delay on this week's post. The computer that I upload all of my pictures to and blog with caught a virus and is currently at the shop. I hope to have the computer back by Thursday. So hang tight, I have lots of cute pictures of Mads with her friend Esther that I took this weekend while Esther and her family were visiting this weekend!

Picture Post
This will just be a quick entry with a few pictures. We didn't do much last week that warranted picture-taking, so I only have a few. I had Tuesday and Thursday off, both days were spent either doing laundry or cleaning. We were able to go out to lunch with Erin and Alice on Thursday, though, and that was very nice. On Saturday we met with Gramma Jackie and Honey for lunch in Madison. Later on Saturday night, about 5PM, I started feeling queasy. Andrew started feeling the same later that night. Turns out we came down with a 24 bug that kept us either in bed or on the couch most of Sunday. We are both feeling much better now!
Enjoy the pictures and thanks for stopping by!
Muscles!

Helping with laundry, AKA wearing Daddy's clothes :)

Saturday night we had a movie night. We moved the coffee table, threw down some blankets and pillows and Mads and Dad shared some popcorn.

Have a good week!

Fall Festival
On Sunday we had our annual Fall Festival at church. Our Fall Fest fun actually started on Saturday. Since I'm a member of the fellowship committee Andrew, Mads and I were part of the crew that went to collect 30 pumpkins from the big sale at Festival Foods. We were there bright and early at 8AM! It was a very chilly day here with the wind whipping around. Luckily we weren't out very long because Mads wasn't dressed appropriately and could've really had some mittens on! :(
So, we collected the pumpkins, loaded them up into our van and another van and took them to the church where we unloaded them and helped to set up for the activities.

On Sunday we had one service followed by a potluck lunch and then pumpkin carving. Mads wasn't able to use the knives so she helped supervise Dad's work! ;) Mads and Dad chose a Frankenstein for her pumpkin. I think it turned out wonderfully!

Look how great all of the pumpkins turned out!

Mads showing off her pumpkin later that night:

The festival also had bobbing for apples, a fire to make s'mores, and caramel apples. We were there until about 2PM, it was a great day!
The rest of the week was pretty uneventful. I had Thursday and Friday off with Mads. On Thursday we went to Ripon to have lunch with Dad. Miss Maddie ate her entire grilled cheese at lunch! On Sunday morning she also ate 6 mini pancakes, a banana and a sausage link. Someone must be hitting a growth spurt!
Friday Dad & Marie were able to stop by for a few hours. Dad had his Foreman's Convention earlier in the week in Sturgeon Bay. It was very nice to see them on their way by!
Sunday after church we went up to Green Bay to spend some time with Grandma Mary. Mads had lots of fun eating her snacks out of the magic fridge!
Here are a few more pictures from the week.

Pumpkins and Door County - but not pumpkins IN Door County! ;)
Can I just take a minute to gush about how wonderful I think Madeline is? She is just so fantastic at this age and everyday is a new and wonderful experience! I only had one day off last week and that was Monday. We ended up just running errands. I was trying to find a winter coat for Mads, one that would match her snow pants from last year (which STILL fit!) We ran in and out of stores and she was such a good helper. Then as we're leaving Appleton she informs me "shoe!" I look back and see this. What a ham!

After her nap we headed to the grocery store and she helped me pick up items around the store. She helped me count the items that I picked up as well as helped me name each of them. She just amazes me everyday! Andrew and I are so blessed to have her in our lives!
Last weekend was a fun weekend as well. On Saturday we went to Fond du Lac to the Little Farmer to pick our pumpkin for this year. They had a lot of great pumpkins to choose from and we made sure to pick one that was nice and wide so that we can fit Elmo's face on it when we carve the pumpkin in a couple weeks!

This is Maddie's "Gosh, Mom, can you PLEASE stop taking pictures?" pose!

Mads also had a blast feeding the goats with Dad:

We also had Mads measure up:

She's the apple of our eye! ;)

I was standing behind the apple holding Mads up. She wasn't smiling for Andrew so I told her to stick out her tongue. I didn't realize that she actually did until I saw the picture!

How big was Mads in 2008?

On Sunday we went for a drive in Door County. I thought that with the amount of leaves that are changing here in Oshkosh and the cold snap that came through the color would be gorgeous in Door County. I was wrong. It was still very green up there with a few trees that were changing. We had a fun time, nonetheless, first stopping in Duvall for a famous Joe's cheeseburger.

We then continued on our way and the farthest north we went was Egg Harbor. On our way up we stopped at the Door County Winery and picked up a few tasty bottles. After we turned around and started heading back south we swung by the Frank Murphy Park that we had stopped at last year so that we could pose Mads for some pictures again. It was a bit breezy right on the lake, but it was a really gorgeous day!

Again, the reminiscent 2008 shot. One of my all time favorite pictures of Mads:

So, all in all, we had a wonderful weekend! I still have some random shots from the week for you.
In our house Elmo has become Maddie's "main man." Other than her dad, of course. Do you think she has enough Elmo paraphernalia?

On Thursday we stopped for some ice cream. Mads ended up taking the bowl over and enjoyed every last lick!

This was the scene on Sunday. Agent Smart, perhaps?

Thanks for stopping by!
