32 Weeks

Hi Everybody!
Sorry it's been awhile since the last post. Andrew and I were busy with Thanksgiving as well as work (like always!) Andrew has been busy with his office in Ripon the last few weeks. He was booked up the last few Mondays and Tuesdays. Also, he was asked to fill in some hours at the Oshkosh office this week and next week. He likes the days when he can fill in at Oshkosh because it gives him a bit of a change.
I've been busy with work too. Last week was a busy week with 13 hours of overtime, not to mention the holiday! I would say I'll be seeing a sweet paycheck, but it always seems that the more I work, the more the government says "THANKS" and takes it themselves. All I hope for is that I see the money when tax returns come around! :)
Peanut is growing well. My belly is getting bigger and Peanut fills it right up. S/he is so active all the time, it's amazing! There are days that I will just stop what I am doing and watch my belly move around. I think I could watch the baby move for hours!
We had our 32 week check up earlier today. All is still well. My measurements are right on target with where they should be. We discussed our birth plan and our wishes for labor and delivery as well. We of course heard the heartbeat (135) and the Midwife noted that I was actually having a contraction at that time. I didn't have any idea that I was! She said it's totally normal and nothing to worry about. Crazy to think that in about 7 weeks I will be having lots of contractions that I'm sure I will be feeling!!!
That's all for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Test Results

I got a phone call today from the office of the midwives and all my tests came back within normal range. That means that my hemoglobin is fine and I do not have gestational diabetes. Good news!!
I also just posted a poll to see what you all think our Peanut will turn out to be. I will keep the poll posted until after Peanut makes his/her debut so we can see if the majority was right! Make sure you vote over on the left side of your screen!

Have a good night!

Baby Appointment

Just wanted to update everyone on our baby appointment today. This was our 28 week visit so I had some lab work including the gestational diabetes/glucose test done. The midwife was a bit concerned last appointment because I was measuring bigger than I should have been for 24 weeks and that can be a sign of gestational diabetes. This appointment, however, I was measuring right on target for 28 weeks. She said the discrepancy last appointment could have come from how the baby was positioned. Besides the glucose test I also had some labs drawn for antibodies and hemoglobin. All of the results should be back on Tuesday but she doesn't think any of them will come back abnormal.
We of course heard the baby's heartbeat, well when s/he would stop moving around long enough! The baby has been very active. Last night Andrew read the baby Harold and the Purple Crayon and baby wouldn't calm down for about ten minutes after the story!! I think baby was so excited about the book and can't wait to get it's own purple crayon after s/he's born!
Andrew and I have a big day tomorrow, though. We have our Labor and Delivery class at the hospital from 9-4. A whole day of learning about our peanut!
That's all for now. We hope everyone has a great weekend!
PS. Since we haven't posed any pictures in awhile, here is a picture of Lily in her Halloween costume!! We were very surprised that she allowed her horns to stay on. She's not normally a fan of anything on her head!
