Cute Pictures!

There hasn't been a lot going on recently in the Josephs house. Normally our lives are rush-rush-rush from Thanksgiving through Madeline's birthday and now that Little Missy had her Pinkalicious 4th birthday we're back to the regular routine of life. I did get a few more pictures from Maddie's birthday party that I just have to share...

These are from after the party.  A few people hung around and we busted out the Just Dance Kinect game.  Mads loves to play the "dance game" and actually does pretty well!  How funny are these pictures?!  :)

Jake and I ended up dancing to some song that neither of us had heard before.  We weren't too shabby at it...

I can't remember which song my dad & I were busting it to, but we had a blast!

Mads and Nate took a turn.  (Excuse Nathan's awesome combination of plaids as he had just gotten up from a nap!)

This past Sunday afternoon we took the kids to Sears to have Madeline's 4 year old and Nathan's 18 month pictures taken.  Both kids were a little wound up and Nathan wouldn't really sit still at all, but we did get some super cute pictures.  Look at these hams!

A couple random pictures from the week:

Nathan snuggles up next to Mads on the chair while she plays with her "iPad"

What a little lover!  On Wednesday morning Nathan kept walking around with "Baby," giving her "Milk."  Then he'd hug her and burp her.
 Here Baby!
This morning was pure bliss in our house.  I was in the kitchen cleaning and both kids were playing with the dollhouse.  Together.  Sharing!  This went on for ONE WHOLE HOUR!  Amazing!
Then they both played with their iPads and Tag Leapsters!

Thanks for stopping by!

PINKALCIOUS BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Saturday, the 15th, was Madeline's big Pinkalcious-themed birthday party.  We designed the party around the book, Pinkalicious.  We had one giant Pinkalicous cupcake cake and lots of smaller Pinkalicious cupcakes!  YUM!

Mads and Nathan with their cousins, Claire & Nick:
The Pinkalicious birthday girl, herself!  FOUR years old!
Andrew sports a pink decoration as a hat?
First we ate some yummy food.  The best part of the meal were the pink and green fluff salads.  You know that if you eat too much pink food you actually turn the color pink and the only way to de-pink is to eat green food, right?  We made sure that nobody was going to leave the color pink!!  :)

The kids enjoying some lunch.
Nathan was a very big fan of the fluff salads!
After lunch it was present time!!

Mads was super spoiled..  thanks to everyone!  :)
After the presents it was cake time!!

The Pinkalicious birthday girl and her Pinkalicious cupcake cake!
 "Ooooh!"
She loves that we're singing to her!  :)
It took a few tries, but Mads got all of the candles blown out!
 Yay!  Time for cake!
After the cake was done the kids had some play time before everyone started heading out.  A few people stayed around and another dance party broke out with Aunt Kimmy, Uncle Jake, and Grandpa Jeff busting some moves to the Just Dance game.  I don't have any pictures, but it was definitely a good time!

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came to celebrate with us!

Madeline turns FOUR!!! (and heads to the dentist and doctor)

I can't believe it!  Our Miss Madeline is now FOUR years old!!  The big day was Thursday, the 12th.  In order to celebrate Lily and I cut streamers to put on Maddie's door for when she woke up in the morning.  Lily wasn't very much of a helper...
At exactly 12:51AM, Madeline's birthday officially started.  Here she is, four years after coming into the world!!

When Mads woke up in the morning and came out of her room she found the streamers that Lily and I cut.
Also, the annual birthday balloon.  She's FOUR!
Andrew ended up being able to take the whole day off from work.  He made special birthday pancakes.  A number 4 with chocolate chips:
 and a Pinkalicious birthday crown!
After breakfast the kids just played and hung out around the house.  It had snowed the night before and it was pretty chilly, so we just stayed inside.  For lunch the birthday girl had requested pizza.
Nathan got pretty dirty while enjoying the 'za!
After lunch was naptime.  Yep, four year olds still take naps in this house!  :)  When the kids woke up Mads requested that we play Just Dance on the Kinect.  Here are the kids busting some sweet moves!
We did venture out into the snow as we had asked Madeline earlier in the week where she wanted to go out for dinner.  She requested Red Robin because you get a song and a sundae.  We couldn't disappoint her by not going out.  The restaurant wasn't as dead as we thought it would be, there was even a boy celebrating his 5th birthday there too!
Mommy and the birthday girl:
Mads got a birthday phone call while we were at the restaurant.  Luckily everyone remembered to sing this year and Mads didn't have to remind anyone!  :)
Yay!  The birthday song & sundae!
Nathan definitely enjoyed his Mac & Cheese!
When we got home from dinner it was present time!!
 A Pinkalicious puzzle!

Mads got her first flower delivery!!  Lillies from Daddy!

Now that Mads is four we had to go visit the dentist and doctor for her four year old check ups.  We did both appointments on Friday.  Mads was a rockstar at the dentist again this year.
 Pearly whites!

We went to see the doctor later on Friday afternoon.  She passed with flying colors and had no shots!  Yay!

Mads finally sprouted up and is 40.5 inches.  That's in the 60th percentile!  She also weighted 32 pounds fully clothed, which puts her in the 30th percentile.  (Remember that Nathan weighed almost 28 pounds last week fully naked!)

The next time Mads goes to see Juli it will be for kindergarten screening!!  Wow!

Happy 4th Birthday, Pickle!  We LOVE you!
