Two week catch-up!

Time to play catch up!  I seriously don't know where the time goes sometimes!!  We've been busy - not with specific things, just busy going here and there.  I have a bunch of random pictures from the last two weeks to share with you.

The weekend of August 4-5 the kids and I went to Monroe for a visit.  Andrew had his annual Lake Michigan salmon fishing trip on Saturday, so since he was going to be tied up all day we made a weekend trip to see some family!

Here are the kids playing a game of Operation at my mom's house:

Tuesday, August 7th was National Night Out and we went to a neighborhood fair here in Oshkosh.   The kids were so excited to have their faces painted.  Mads chose a butterfly and Nate chose a puppy.
All this pink paint ended up leaving a pink stain behind for a couple days!

Then on Saturday night, the 11th, our church had a bonfire.  It was out at a farm and the kids had fun running off some energy!

Mads pulled Nate around in the wagon.  (Half a second after I took this picture the black dog in the corner of the frame plowed into both kids!)
The kids gave some love to the kitties:

Then it was Nathan's turn to pull Mads in the wagon!
There were chickens, too - and what does Nathan do when there is a gathering of animals?  He asks "What Doin'!?"  :)
Nathan has been struggling with some constipation issues for the last three weeks or so.  On Monday the 13th he was down for the count for awhile.  When I tried to take a picture of him looking all sad, he immediately smiled when he saw the camera!  I guess I've trained that adorable smile to come out when the camera is around - no matter what! :)

Tuesday the 14th I had the day off so the kids and I hit up the Zoo and the Little Oshkosh playground with Jen, Isaac and Isiah.  We love taking advantage of the fantastic weather a little bit longer, since we know the snow will be flying all too soon!

My teeter-totter buddy!
Mads jumped on too!

Mads got the hang of the monkey bars!  Look at that upper body strength!

Keep off the lava!  :)

Mads could do the fire pole all by herself, too!
One last slide before heading home!

That afternoon we did a little bit of playing outside.  Nathan knows how to pedal his bike now.
Such a big boy!  (Excuse the shaky video - I almost took a digger while walking backwards to film him!)
Mads was super nice and bubble mowed the lawn for me!
On Thursday the 16th we had a sitter come over to watch the kids while we went to 4K Parent Night at Maddie's school.  When we came home we found that they made this awesome fort!  We kept it up for about a week and the kids played in it everyday!
Last Saturday we had a free day!  Can you believe it?  Absolutely no plans!  We went down to the Oshkosh Farmer's Market where Andrew got me a gorgeous bouquet of flower and the kids got some yummy mini-donuts!  I think we're going to try to head down again this week for more donuts and maybe make it a Saturday morning tradition on the mornings we're in town!

Thanks for stopping by and catching up with us!  Have a great weekend!

Packer Practice & Bay Beach!

Last Wednesday, August 1st was an absolute blast!!  It started out super early, with us leaving Oshkosh at 6:30AM, but it was all with good reason - we had to be to Green Bay by 8:15 for Packer Practice!  We were able to take along two of the sweetest kids, Spencer and Kate.  They are friends from church.  It also happened to be Spencer's 9th birthday and we had a fantastic time celebrating!

First up, Training Camp.  At the gate they were handing out faces of Clay Matthews and Greg Jennings and G-Force tattoos.  Andrew and I had two Clays and two Gregs sitting with us in the bleachers!  :)

Oh wait, one of the Gregs is just Spencer!
Mads and Kate:
Greg Jennings, looking a little short!  :)
Time for drills:
Aaron Rodgers
Jordy Nelson and Donald Driver:
Give up some love for the punter - Tim Masthay
More Donald Driver - Dancing With The Stars Champion!  :)
Walking over to the Pro Shop - what a crew!
I was taking a picture of Andrew and the kids when a nice lady offered to take a picture of all of us.  I'm finally in a picture!!
Balloon on a stick - our Pro Shop findings.
One last look at the Pack getting ready for a championship season!
After we left Training Camp we stopped at a park for a little bit to run off some of the energy the kids had pent up from sitting in the stands.

Nathan and his buddy Spencer on the teeter totter:
Then Nate moved over to Kate's side!
After the park and on our way to Bay Beach I noticed that there is a "Spence" street in Green Bay.  Because I'm super crazy with pictures I wanted to take a picture of Spencer by the sign since it was his birthday.  Andrew found that Spence Street actually connected with 9th Street, which made ecstatic!  So, here is Spencer at the corner of Spence and 9th on his 9th birthday!!!!

After I was done making everybody stop so that I could take crazy pictures we finally made it to Bay Beach.  We met up with Andrew's cousin, Heidi, and her family who were in town from Arkansas.

Our first stop was the Zippin' Pippin' rollercoaster.  I stayed behind with Spencer and Nate while the rest of the crew went on ahead.

Heading up!  (Andrew and Heidi have their arms up)

Coming down the first drop!
If you look super closely you can see Andrew and Kate in the second to last car:

Nate watched the ride from a demo seat outside.
They made it out!

On to more rides!!  Mads wanted to ride the swings so we stopped there next:
Spencer, Kate & Mads:  (Behind the other girl)
Fire trucks!
Nate didn't want to ride in one of the empty cars, he really wanted to ride in the green truck with this girl!  :)
Tilt a Whirl!!
Mads rode with Mike and Linley:
MORE SPIN!

Scrambler was up next, which Nate is too little for, so while everybody stood in line Spencer and Nate rode the helicopters:

Mads with Linley and Ellie:
Andrew and Kate:
Wheeee!

After the Scrambler we had a picnic lunch that Heidi had packed.  After lunch we hit up a few more rides and finished with the carousel.

Spencer on the rooster and Kate on the pink pony:
Mads chose the rainbow horse:
and Nathan had the pig!!
Always a fun ride!
One last treat before heading home...  SpongeBob and Dora on a stick.
We thought they were ice cream sandwiches, turns out they were extra super runny popsicles that got ALL OVER the kids' clothes.  Good grief!

Thanks for stopping by!
