Christmas Festivities!

Our Christmas Festivities started on Saturday the 22nd in Monroe with the extended family.  We had an absolute blast, as usual hanging out and catching up.  I didn't take any pictures, but we definitely had a great time!

Christmas Eve morning was our special time at home.  We started out the morning with the kids helping Daddy make French Toast.
YUM!
After breakfast it was time to open presents from Mommy & Daddy.

Cute dude!

Yay!  I got new shoes!
The kids also picked the fabric to make a blanket for Bingo and I.  One side has dinosaurs and one side has ladybugs!  Now Bingo and I will be toasty warm and stylish while cuddling on the couch!
Nate taking a swing with Daddy's new racquetball racket!
After we finished up our family Christmas we headed up to Aunt Jill, Uncle Eric, Claire & Nick's house for Christmas Eve with them and Grandma Mamie.

While we were hanging out the kids were able to open their special presents from Claire:
She made them pillowcases!
Nate tried out Grandma Mamie's pillowcase as a sack for sack races!
Then Mads got in on the action!
Mads got a special nail polish from Grandma Mamie and they were able to have some spa time!
4 of the most adorable presents you'll ever see!
Time to open up the rest of the presents!

Mads got the game Trouble.  She was so excited!  Who doesn't love the Pop-O-Matic bubble?  :)
Nate tested out Nick's new lounge pillow:
The Super Why game!
For some reason Nate decided to bust out his serious face for present opening.  He really was excited about his new Action Fliers track!
See!  :)
Andrew and I got a homemade quilt from Mary!  Very gorgeous!
There's that serious face again!
We were all in the living room when Andrew noticed that Nate was in the kitchen alone.  He decided to snack on the cherry fluff!
Shenanigans!
Cousins working together on the I Spy book.

When we left on Christmas Eve we went straight to Monroe so that we would be there for Christmas morning.  We were hoping that Santa would find us at Gramma Jackie's house so we set out cookies, milk and carrots when we got there.
Lo and behold, Santa found us!
Christmas morning kiddos!
Santa and the reindeer filled up when they stopped!
Opening the gifts from Santa:
Mike Wazowski!
Mads got a Fur Real tiny dog that she named Holly.
Yay!  Santa brought the LaLaLoopsy Fun House that she asked for!
Around 10:30 or so the rest of the family came over and we did our family Christmas with them.

Nathan had fun tearing into more presents.
A FURBY!!!  SWEET!
Showing off the new slippers:
Nate got some too!
How cool!  Giant Raggedy Ann and Andy!

No way!  Its a...
Barbie Dreamhouse!
And Nathan got a tool bench!

We had to head home in the afternoon on Christmas day as Andrew and I both had to return to work on Wednesday.

Handyman Nate jumped right into fixing up the house with his tools as soon as we were home!
We have our Christmas with Dad, Marie, Sarah & Trevor and family this coming Saturday.  It has been a wonderful \holiday!

Hope that your family had a very Merry Christmas too!

Madeline's First School SNOW DAY!

Wednesday and Thursday was the BIG snow storm of 2012!  We were predicted to get between 12-18 inches of snow!  I believe the final total came in at 12.2 inches.  It was pretty exciting, though, because Mads got her very first SNOW DAY!

We bundled up and went out to play in the great white snow in the afternoon.

Mads just running through the backyard - so excited!

Nate wasn't as sure of it at first...
Snow angel time!
Poor Nate - his butt sank in and he got stuck!  :)
Weeee!  Rides on the sled with Dad!

Might was well slide down the snow covered slide since you're covered from head to toe in snow gear!
Throwing snowballs!
Look at that snowball that Nathan launched at Andrew's head!
Andrew tried to catch the snowballs that Mads was throwing at him!  (Look at Nate packing up another snowball in the background!)
The best part of the day was the snowball fight!
They tried to make a snowman.
Mads worked hard at rolling a big ball up, but it wasn't sticking as well as we would have liked.  So, the snowman idea was abandoned.  Maybe next time!
Jumping for joy in the snow!
Nate takes to throwing snowballs at me...
Happy kid on her very first snow day!  :)

Now that we had fun in the snow, it can be 50 degrees again and melt away!  :)
