On Tuesday morning the families split up to do their own things. Andrew, Mads and I decided to go back to Broadway at the Beach since we had missed a quarter of the shops the day before due to rain. We didn't find anything at the shops we had missed, but Andrew did pick up a KISS hat at the Coffeeshop that he had been thinking about since the day before. (I think that this was due to the fact that I took the one he bought on Monday as my own!) :)
We walked the whole way around BATB, but were only there for an hour. We decided to take the scenic route back to our rental, and that was on Ocean Boulevard. We found the old area of Myrtle Beach, which I could only guess was The Place To Be in the 1960's! It was pretty neat to see all of the old hotels with awesome names like the Diplomat (my favorite), the Viking, the Golden Sands. We didn't stop then, but decided to come back on Wednesday to walk around the place where time stopped! ;)
We continued on our way back to the rental and found a Krispy Kreme shop. We stopped and had a couple doughnuts, Maddie's first!
When we got back to the house and had lunch. Before Mads went down for her nap we went to the pier to take in the views.

After the pier, we went back to the house and Mads took her afternoon nap. When she was up we headed back to the beach. It is a BEACH vacation, you know!

That evening after the kidlets went to bed we played a fierce game of Scattergories. It was a lot of fun, Andrew ended up winning.
