Before they left, though, we did manage to get some good pictures.
ICO Alums, the reason we're all good friends!
Ryan, Stephanie, Tony & Andrew
The babes. From the left - Esther, Alex, Caden and Mads.
I think it's so wonderful how close they are in age. Esther is 5 weeks older than Mads. Caden and Alex are 9 months old, Caden is 3 days older than Alex!
After the Klybers left the Ames' and us headed down to a small shopping area in Pawleys Island. The shops were in some really cute older houses. Lots of little knicknacks and touristy shops. We did purchase some candy at an old time candy store. We found out that Mads is quite a fan of candy lipstick! We also ate lunch while we were there. A nice little place called the "High Hammock." I had a pad thai dish, which was tasty, and Andrew had a burger.
After lunch we headed home, as it was nap time. Once again, when Mads was up from her nap we headed to the beach! We did some shell collecting in order to spell "Mads" in shells in the sand. We got the idea from
Ryan, Barby and Caden. Mads was having a lot of fun collecting the shells and actually kept collecting them long after we were had enough!
That night, after Mads went to bed, Andrew and I headed to the beach for a short walk on the ocean at dusk. We had a nice little saunter up and down the coastline watching the people that were out!
Our footprints in the sand:
I have a video of Mads doing some shell collecting, but Blogger won't let me upload it right now. So, keep an eye out for it soon, hopefully!
