BIG BOY THINGS!

Andrew had a day off with the kids on Wednesday.  They had a busy to-do list that included going to the library, the grocery store, Lowe's (twice), making dinner and transitioning Nathan's crib to a toddler bed!  The dinner was super yummy, but the most exciting part of their day was me coming home to find Nate's bed changed over.

We didn't know how well the toddler bed would go, as Mr. Man has a tendency to be quite the little stinker sometimes!  :)  He did FANTASTIC!  He laid right down and stayed in bed all through the night until I came to get him out in the morning!

Pictures from his first night in the BIG BOY BED!

Cuddled in with the monkey blankie:
This face is why we weren't sure if this new bed was going to work or not.  Does this look not just scream "SHENANIGANS!"?  :)
A couple hours later when Andrew and I went to bed this is how we found Nathan.

Nate is still continuing to do well with the toddler bed.  His nap on Thursday went well.  He laid right down again and didn't get out until 3 hours later when he woke up.  I did hear him trying to open the door once he was awake, but I'm glad he slept, especially with all the sun shining in!  He did super fantastic his second night in the bed too.  What a good kid!

In other BIG BOY news.  Nathan asked to sit on the potty yesterday.  Yes, he's fully clothed, but we're working on the "Potty isn't scary" angle right now.  Everytime we've asked him if he wanted to sit on the potty or if we put him on the potty before he'd scream and cry.  You can see that yesterday he was very happy to sit on the potty.  Hopefully we can make more progress with being comfortable on the potty and maybe start getting some actual potty action in the next few months!  Such a big boy!
