Since last Thursday we've been busy with various on-goings at the Josephs household. The first thing was our big news - Andrew has a new job!! Yay! He started his new position as Optometrist with Wal-Mart Optical in Neenah on Thursday, March 1st. He's been there for four days now and is enjoying it. His schedules have been full and keeping him busy. The hours are a bit different; he works until 7:00 a couple night per week, but on those days he doesn't start until later so he's able to spend time in the morning with the kids. He also has Wednesdays off which is fun for him and the kids!
The kids and I put together a basket of goodies for Daddy for his first day of work. He got some new pens, a couple packs of gum & mints, a few snacks & eyeball Oreo cookies! There was a cute card from the kids, too.
The card has a picture of each kid's eye, Maddie's hands in the shape of a heart, and her finger pointing. (EYE) (LOVE) (YOU!)
Eyeball Oreos!! I thought they turned out pretty cool! :)
Friday night we finally got some good snow in Oshkosh! Who knew that it would take until March to finally cover up the grass with the white stuff we're so accustomed to seeing! Once I picked up the kids and got home from work I started shoveling. Since it was decently warm out, the kids joined me outside and they played while I worked! ;)
Such a pretty view. It was the nice, heavy, wet snow that sticks and makes things look like a winter wonderland!
Mads was ready to run right out into the yard to start making tracks in the snow!
Nathan was a little hesitant, but definitely warmed right up!
Having a blast!
Nate decided he wanted the full snow experience so he crawled everywhere he went.
Goofy boy!
The kids playing in their "fort" under the slide:
Mads remembered how to make a snow angel:
Nathan tried to make a snow angel, but when he flopped down he got snow in his face and that was the end of the snow fun!
Good work Mads!
Saturday morning was Maddie's dance class. There was only about half the amount of kids as usual, probably due to the snow.
Mads showed me some of her skills before class started.
