Madeline's Date

Madeline had a very fun day today! After church she got to go out on a lunch and movie date... with her Daddy! Just the two of them, some special Maddie-Daddy time!

First they went to lunch at Pizza Hut. They both LOVE pizza! :)

After lunch they headed over to Marcus to see The Smurfs! They stocked up on their snacks first. (How they were able to eat all the popcorn right after lunch I will never understand!)

When they got home Mads was so excited to tell me about her date with Daddy. She had SO much fun!

On my days off this week we were able to go to the park, twice. First we went on Monday afternoon.

Nathan has gotten way better at staying seated in the wagon!

Such a strong girl!

First time on the teeter-totter. Mads was on the other side helping Nathan bounce. It was so cute, but I couldn't back far enough away to get them both in the picture... wasn't quite sure that Mr. Man wouldn't topple off! :)

We went back to the park on Thursday. We decided to give the Splash Pad a try for the first time. I was nervous what Mads would think about it since she has a crazy fear of sprinklers. After a few minutes of getting used to it she was running around having tons of fun!

Nathan was ALL OVER running in everything!

The dreaded U-shaped spritzer, it took Mads the entire time at the splash pad to work up to it. I think she finally went through it because Nathan was!

On Thursday we had a baking day. I saw a recipe for Lemon Blackberry cupcakes and they looked super yummy. So with some help from the kids we gave it a shot!
