On Monday Maddie tried out some real peaches. No mushy baby food peaches for her anymore! She wasn't sure what was going on at first, especially since she couldn't get a good grip on them, but then ended up thinking they were pretty neat!
Then on Wednesday she gave Mac and Cheese a try. Still a little slippery to pick up, but a lot easier than the peaches!
Thursday night we went to the Melting Pot for dinner. We went with Grandma Mary, Aunt Jill, Cousin Claire, Cousin Nick, Aunt Jeanne, Uncle John, Aunt Eileen and Uncle Jim. This was Maddie's first time out at a "fancy" restaurant and she was an Angel! During dinner she was able to try out some potatoes and bananas.
Then for the weekend we went down to Monroe. On Saturday we went to the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison with Gramma Jackie, Grampa Thom, Aunt Kimmy and Jake. It was Maddie's first trip to the zoo and she had a great time even though her parents kept making her stick her head in the cutouts! :)
She did see some animals, including the giant turtles, but the crane was by far her favorite animal since it came up close to her.
The highlight of the zoo had to be the carousel. She got on and was so excited during the whole ride saying "wheeee" the entire time!
After leaving the zoo we went to the park right near by so that Maddie could see the shoe of the "Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe." Aunt Kimmy helped her down the shoe slide.
Then after the fun on the shoe slide we all went to Ella's Deli on East Wash for dinner. Maddie loved looking at all of the stuff on the walls, ceiling, and in the tables. Then after dinner we took a ride on their carousel. Can you believe it? Two carousels in one day!
Sunday was a sleepy day for Mads. She had so much fun at the zoo and at Ella's Deli that she was pooped. She fell asleep eating breakfast, so she went back to bed and ended up sleeping through church. Then she took a few more naps throughout the day. Since she was so sleepy we didn't do much. We did go down to the Fire Department Pancake Breakfast so that Maddie could see the fire trucks.
So that's the recap of our week. I do have a few random pictures to show you as well. Hope you have a good week!

Wow have you been busy or what! Maddy is just getting cuter and cuter every single day - and getting so big eating up her peaches! You are looking well Nicole! How's that leg going?
