When you turn 8 you must be pretty important, because Mads has had more birthday celebrations than anyone I've ever known! :)
First she celebrated with her friends at her Spa-rty, and then had two separate celebrations with family.
On Sunday, January 3rd we partied in Green Bay with Grandma Mamie, Auntie Jill, Uncle Eric, Claire & Nick. The cuzzies had lots of fun playing together and then Grandma had a project for them. They needed to decorate Mads' cake! It started out pretty plain...
But was pretty jazzy after the kids finished up!
We enjoyed some yummy tacos for supper and then it was present time!

Mads got her very own Kenny & Dolly CD from Grandma Mamie!
And YES! It was Kenny & Dolly in the case, not Elton John like at home! :)

Mads had her next family birthday party on Sunday, January 10th. This time we had it at "Spa de Mads" with Gramma J, Vic, Grandpa Jeff, Grandma Marie, GG, Aunt Kimmy, Uncle Jakey, Michael & Brantley.
We, of course, needed more champagne!
We had Spa-wiches,
Relaxing cucumber salad and curlers!
After lunch was present time. Mads got a super fun present from the Sodens...
A big ball of plastic wrap!! Hidden inside was candy and money!
A new CD rack from Gramma J and Vic to hold all of the CDs she has been getting!
Money for the college pig, and a DQ treat from Grandma & Grandpa!
I was in charge of the cake this year since Grandma Mamie wasn't able to come for the party. Mads helped with some of the flavor selections and we made a pink nail polish bottle!
