Monroe's Magic Kingdom!

For my friends that live in Monroe, have you taken full advantage of the Park & Rec Department?  I can't believe the amazing programs that they put on for the kids!  Nathan went to Under Construction and Tiny Tot tennis lessons while Mads did a Spa Day!  On Tuesday, August 19th they both went to the Magic Kingdom program.  The program was set up around the courthouse and the kids moved between stations where they got to see different Disney characters and do different tasks and games.  It was so much fun!

Mads and Nate started out at the Frozen station!  Anna, Elsa and Olaf read a story to the group...

and then they had a snowball fight!!
This is my kind of snowball fight - in the middle of summer, nice and warm and in flip flops!   :)
After the snowball fight the kids had a chance to pin the carrot nose on Olaf.
Mads got it pretty close:
While Nate got a bit dizzy...
and struggled to find Olaf...
Finally he found him, but he aimed a bit too high and put the nose on Olaf's forhead!
AW!  You know Olaf likes warm hugs!  :)
Next up was the Brave station where the kids had a chance to ride a pony!

Mads with Merida:
Mads and Nate took archery lessons from Merida's three brothers:
Nate always concentrates so hard!
Oh no!  Captain Hook!  Good thing he only wanted to play a ring toss and not make us walk the plank!
Captain Hook was Nate's favorite station, he kept asking to go back!
Howdy Pardner, My Name's Woody!
Off for a ride on the little train!

We made a quick stop to see Princess Aurora:
and we gave a squeeze to Minnie Mouse:

and high fives to Mickey Mouse:
I thought Snow White's station was super fun, the kids got to play musical chairs with the seven dwarves!  All fun and games until there's only one spot left though!
Madeline's favorite station was by far the tea party with Belle.  The kids got to have special tea (either water or root beer) and a snack.
If you look super closely Nate has his "pinkie up" like Belle taught him:
Princess Belle and the kids!

The kids had so much fun, and I'm not going to lie - so did I!!  The Park and Rec did a great job and I can't wait to see what they have planned for next year!  :)
