Formula!

This past week was a week with a new first for Maddie. She had her first bottle of formula. The poor girl has been going through a growth spurt now for over a week and just can't seem to get full! She was nursing almost every hour and still wasn't satisfied so on Tuesday we decided to try to give her some formula to fill her belly. She tolerated the formula wonderfully, no extra fussiness at all. It did the trick, she's able to go three hours between feedings again!



So now we're making formula a part of Maddie's daily routine. She nurses when I'm with her, but otherwise she has formula. This weekend was full of formula as I worked Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Maddie is such a good little peanut, she just rolls with the changes!

The rest of the week was pretty normal. However, it was my birthday on Tuesday so Maddie and Daddy took me out to dinner at the Roxy where we met Barby and Ryan. After dinner we went home and had some ice cream cake - the best part about birthdays! :) Thursday was also a fun day as Andrew took the day off and we went to Appleton to help Maddie find Mother's Day presents for her Grandmas! Then, like I mentioned before, I worked all weekend so Maddie and Daddy had the weekend together. On Saturday they went shopping and got my Mother's Day present and on Sunday they had lunch in Appleton with Grandma Mary, Aunt Jill and Claire and Nick. Then after lunch they came by the hospital to see me. It's always nice when they pop in for a visit, it really makes my day!
