I had been hearing for years about the sunflowers that bloom every year in the Madison area. For the last couple years I've seen lots of pictures on Facebook of these beautiful sunflowers. Finally it was our turn to go check them out!!
At the Pope Farm Conservancy in Middleton there are NINE acres of sunflowers!! Approximately 500,000 seeds were planted. It's absolutely amazing to see all of these beautiful sunflowers in one place!
We went with our friends; Jen, Lane and Brynlee on Thursday, July 28th. There was a treat of storms, and we actually called the trip off, before we decided to risk it! I am so glad we did!
The kiddos as we came upon the field::
Mads and Nate - growing up so much!
Sunflowers that seem to go on forever!
There was one sunflower that grew taller than the others. Since it was a special sunflower Mads and Nate named it the Amelia sunflower.
These two - look how grown up they are!
Such beautiful flowers!
Group selfie before we leave!
Two cuties with their mom!
How amazing is that view?!
So neat!
It was a fun day trip to see the sunflowers!
We'll have to take Daddy along next time! :)
