A Passing Grade

The title of this post is "A Passing Grade" for a couple reasons - first, it's kinda catchy for a post about school...  you always want to get a passing grade :) Secondly it's "passing" because the time has gone by so fast.  It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating Mads starting 1st grade and Nathan starting school for the first time.  Time is so fleeting.  These past nine months went past in the blink of an eye.  Each day, week, month and year is going by too quickly.  We need to remember to treasure the moments with our tiny tots, because they're only small for such a short time.  Enough with the sappy stuff, on to the LAST DAY OF SCHOOL EXCITEMENT!!

 We had Mads stand by the front of the school to prove her last day of 1st Grade at Northside:

 Nathan's school day ended first at 11:10.  Here he is with Mrs. Babler.  He loved having her as his 4K teacher!

After picking Nate up from school we headed over to Northside for the annual last day of school picnic.  Mads sat with her friends Lane and Shannon:

 We headed over to Chocolate Temptation for our annual last day of school ice cream treat.  This year Shannon and her family joined us.  These two girls are definitely best friends!  :)

Next year will be a big year.  Nathan will be in Kindergarten at Northside with Mads.  Both kids will be in school full time.  I'm already tearing up thinking about it.... hopefully over the summer I'll be able to come to terms with just how big they have already gotten.

We thank all of the wonderful teachers and helpers at Northside and Abe Lincoln for a wonderful year for both kids.  You all are truly amazing!  :)
