Toothless Wonder!

Where is our little girl going?!

On February 27th Mads lost her very first tooth!!  When we went to the dentist about a month earlier he noted that her front bottom two teeth were slightly loose and each had a new tooth already popped up and growing in behind the baby teeth.  We knew it was only a matter of time before it came out!

Mads was a bit nervous for the tooth to come out.  She asked if it was going to hurt and even though we told her it wouldn't, she was still afraid of feeling pain when it came out.  It finally fell out on it's own during school!  She was able to go to the office and get a neat little necklace to store the tooth in until it was time to put it under her pillow.

Here's what Maddie's mouth looked like after losing her very first tooth!
Such a cute little baby tooth!
Mads decided to put the tooth in a baggie and then put the baggie in her special tooth pillow.  She didn't want to the tooth to get lost in the pocket and make it hard for the Tooth Fairy to find it!  (Good thinking!)
All ready for bed.  The tooth is in the pocket on the back side of the pillow.
Mads also decided to move the pillow to the end of her bed so that the Tooth Fairy would have super easy access to her tooth.  Mads wanted to make sure she wasn't laying on it when the TF came by.  (Again, super excellent thinking!)
And look what Mads found in the morning!  College Money!

After her first tooth fell out, it wasn't more than a day or two until Mads' other front bottom tooth became loose!  This time she wasn't afraid to wiggle it!  We thought it would be out in a day or two, but that little guy kept hanging on!  She finally lost it on March 14th (again, at school)

Now she has two missing teeth!  But look at how fast her adult teeth are coming in!  The front bottom left was the first tooth she lost and the new guy is 3/4 in already - and you can see how the adult tooth was already growing up behind the baby tooth on the bottom front right.
Look at this smile!  LOVE IT!

Now, we had a little predicament with the second tooth.  Mads lost the tooth at school and was given a necklace to keep the tooth in from the nice office ladies.  The top must not have been closed all the way, because the lost tooth WAS LOST!!!  That's right...  it fell out of the holder at some point during the day.  No biggies, though.  Mads decided to write the Tooth Fairy a note hoping it would suffice for the actual tooth.

Mads decided what to write and I just helped her a bit with the spelling.  This was Maddie's package for the TF:

Mads, her missing tooth smile, and her letter - all ready for bed!

We tucked the letter in for the night:

And Mads was rewarded with another dollar!  (No picture, it went quickly into her piggy bank!)

As of now there aren't any loose teeth in her mouth, but we have lots left to lose!

So, for now, thumbs up from our Toothless Wonder!
