Preparations

It is time...  I don't know how we've gotten to this point already, but it is time for Madeline to go to school!  Eeep!  My tiny little 4 1/2 year old smart cookie will be walking into school tomorrow morning for her first day of 4K!!  Of course, there are preparations in order to be 100% ready for such a big ordeal!

First off we had to get a back to school haircut.  Mads looked through the hairstyle book at the salon and chose the style she wanted.  She chose short!  Look at all of the hair on the floor!!

She is very excited about her new haircut.  We went short last fall and let her hair grow out for the summer so we could pony-tail it.  Now that it's shorter again it's easier to maintain and, of course, super cute!!

Thursday night we had Open House and Meet The Teacher.  Mads will have Miss Tracy as her teacher.  Mads was able to talk to Miss Tracy for a few minutes as well as learn where her room is and where her backpack hook is.  Mads also dropped off her school supplies and saw a few of her classmates.  She was feeling shy and wouldn't introduce herself to them, but it might be easier without Mom & Dad around.

After meeting Miss Tracy, Andrew and I took Mads out for a special dinner while Nathan stayed behind with Miss Jeanette.  Mads got to choose her special dinner and she chose to eat at Fratello's on the patio.

We then went out for ice cream at Rhapsodies - also Maddie's choosing.  Mads had the Little Dipper ice cream cone.  It melted faster than I could believe - but it was about 90 degrees outside!  :)

The last thing we needed to do to get ready for school was to get a pedicure!  We headed over to our favorite ladies at the nail salon today and had our toes and fingers done!

Mads got the convertible kiddy chair!
 Hot towels on the legs...
 Hand massage!
Pretty pink for the fingers - with a princess crown stamp!
 Success!
Our gorgeous toes and Maddie's pink princess fingers!

Now tomorrow Mads will become an official "Big Girl" at 8:00AM sharp when she starts her very first day of school!
