Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend our plans originally included us going to Monroe but at our baby appointment on Friday the doctor suggested that we not do any long distance travelling. He didn't feel that the baby's arrival would be imminent, but just not the safest idea to go 2 1/2 hours away from the hospital at this point in my pregnancy. So we are now grounded until Twosie's arrival. :)

Since we were going to have a picnic at my mom's house on Sunday and weren't able to they decided to bring the picnic to us. Gramma J, Honey and Grandpa Thom were here shortly after we got home for church with all of the picnic food in tow. Mads had fun playing outside before lunch and then inside afterwards. She put on her new Princess dress-up dress to show everyone.

What a beautiful princess!

Then Princess Mads lead the Gramma J, Honey, Grandpa Thom and Mads band with a big 'ol "Rock and Roll!!"

Since we were grounded for the rest of the weekend, we put it to good use. Andrew displayed some major "Husband of the Year" qualities with the amount of items that he got crossed off of our "To-Do List!" He mowed the lawn, weed whacked, trimmed the bushes (not a minor task!), cleaned up the 4- 30 gallon bags of the bush trimmings, installed a new garage door opener system since ours died on Friday, and power washed the house! What an awesome husband!!

Mads helped too, of course! She made sure that the lawn was perfectly bubble mowed!

Then on Monday night we had a barbecue with lots of Maddie's friends! We had a great evening eating more burgers and brats and chatting.
