Hi There! Yes, we're still waiting for Twosie to make his/her big entrance! My due date was Saturday and we haven't had any activity from the little one, so we're still waiting. I'm officially two days overdue but I'm still feeling well. As with Maddie's pregnancy, I'm very lucky to be blessed with easy pregnancies. No discomfort and I'm still able to sleep well.. So, although I'd really like to meet Twosie here soon, I'm OK with waiting!

We had a fun weekend around Oshkosh with Mads this weekend. On Saturday there was a "Wings on Strings" event at the EAA. It was a free kite festival, so we hit that up with our friends Jen & Karl and their kiddos Abby and Isaac. There were professional kitists (is that a word?) and gigantic kites. The entire airstrip was closed down to allow for the kite flying. The weather was absolutely perfect and there was a strong wind blowing to keep the kites up. We started out by trying to fly the kite that Karl brought, but it ended up not wanting to fly very well. Mads thought the kite crashing into the ground was pretty funny, though.




So, then we did what all the vendors at the event were hoping we would do... we bought a kite right there at the event. Sure, it was overpriced, but Mads LOVED it! Andrew went and picked out a "butterfly" kite for her and it ended up being a great kite. It launched easily and flew easily as well. So easy, in fact, that Mads was able to fly it on her own. She had a blast flying her "tight." She got very angry when the announcer told everyone to bring their kites down so we could all launch them at the same time for the "Grand Launch." Those two minutes had to have been the longest in Maddie's life. She didn't think she'd ever get to fly her kite again!

On Sunday we decided to take Mads to her first movie. We thought that she was probably old enough and able to handle the whole movie experience. She will sit still at home for an entire movie so we thought she's do well. We picked the Shrek movie playing after her nap. Mads saw the original Shrek movie in the past and liked it so we thought sticking with a character she knew would work out the best. She was very excited to go to the movie and Mom and Dad were very excited to find out that her ticket was free since she's under three! :) She helped get snacks at the concession stand and thought that Andrew's huge bucket of popcorn was pretty neat. What she loved the most, though, were her Raisinettes. Andrew and I didn't think the Raisinettes all the way through, though, in particular the fact that they're covered in chocolate that melts in hot little hands. I didn't notice the amount of mess that Mads made until the movie was over, blame that on the dark theater! She had so much fun though. She sat really well throughout the movie, only getting up a couple of times to dance along. We were very proud of how well she did!!

Sunday, was Father's Day too, of course. Mads made sure that she wished Andrew a "Happy Faders Day" plenty of times throughout the day. Even when he kissed her good night she said Happy Fathers Day to him.
