Two Year Old Stuff

You're busy when you're two. That's what Mads has found over these last couple weeks!!

It started on the 15th when we went in for her Two-Year Check Up. Now, tell me, what other kid in the world thinks that the ear thermometer is neat and wants "more?" Or how about laying down to be measured? "More!" I tell you... such a ham bone! :) Mads did fantastic at her visit. She showed the NP all of her tricks and was fantastic through her exam and shot. There aren't any two year old shots on the schedule, but we did have Mads get a flu shot. When I called in the fall the hospital was out of all types of flu shots due to the H1N1 scare. They had the seasonal flu shot available now so we decided to go ahead with that. Little Missy was a champ, sitting on Dad's lap and DIDN'T EVEN CRY! What a big girl!

Her stats are looking good:
Weight, fully clothed: 25 pounds, 25th percentile
Height: 33 1/2 inches, around the 40th percentile
Head: 47.5 cm, 50th percentile

Then, as if we weren't busy enough with doctor's visits, birthday parties, and lunches with Dad, Mads had her Two-Year-Old pictures taken at Sears on the 17th. I was a bit worried to see how the process would go after the meltdown that happened in December trying to take pictures with Claire and Nick. Turns out that Mads was a champ and had the best smiles I've ever seen!! Look at a few of the pictures, how freakin' adorable!! :)







This past weekend we went to have lunch with Gramma J, Honey and Aunt Kimmy in Madison. We also did a little bit of shopping. Then on Sunday we went to Wausau to see Andrew's friend from college, Corrie. She works at a hotel with an indoor water park and was able to get us some passes, so we had a bit of fun in the water. We made the mistake of telling Mads in the morning that we were going to go swimming and that was all she could talk about until we got finally got to Wausau in the afternoon. She still had her park bracelet on yesterday and kept reminding everyone that she "went swimmin!" She's definitely a little fishy!
