Madeline had a fantastic birthday. I was able to take off from work on the 12th so that I could spend the day with Mads. Her birthday started out with pictures promptly at 12:51 AM - exactly two years after she was born.
Then, in the morning, at a more decent hour, Mads got dressed in her spiffy birthday dress. As we went down for breakfast Mads found streamers hanging in her doorway and those were pretty cool!!
For breakfast were special scrambled eggs made with love by Daddy. Dad left for work while Mads and I hung out around the house. We played some toys and then watched "Come On Down," Maddie's favorite! We then went to Ripon to have lunch with Dad. We went to Culver's so that Mads could have a grilled cheese and fries. We found out that as much as Mads loves fries, apparently she loves onion rings even more! She also had a special birthday scoop of ice cream with sprinkles!
After lunch we headed back home for a birthday nap. Unfortunately, two-year-olds (and their pregnant mommies) still need naps! After the nap we found a birthday card in the mail slot and that was pretty cool to open!
The rest of the afternoon was filled with more toys until Dad came home early from work. We had a yummy spaghetti supper, because every two year old should be able to get dirty on their birthday!
Once dinner was done Mads was finally able to open up her birthday presents! She had a blast tearing into the paper and she got some pretty sweet stuff!
Once we were done with presents it was time for our friends; Jen, Abby, and Isaac to come over. Abby was unable to attend Maddie's birthday party so they came over to give Mads her present and share some ice cream cake with us. (Yes, my daughter ate ice cream twice in one day - but, come on, it was her birthday!!)
Mads had a great birthday and went to bed happy and sugared up! :)
Saturday we had Maddie's birthday party with family and friends at the house. It was a great party with lots of people. Mads had fun spending time with everyone that came to celebrate. Grandma Mamie made the cake again this year, and it was gorgeous!! The whole ladybug theme for the party was based around this awesome cake!

Just adorable! What a ladybug! Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl!
What a cute cake. I like the red dress with the black dots.
Maddie looks so adorable. I especially like the picture of Maddie smiling with the cake.
