Wednesday night we went up to our friends' house in Appleton to have dinner with their family. We had a really fun time. I hadn't seen them since they had their son, Ezra, right before I left Children's. They also have 2 1/2 year old twin girls, Olivia and Isabel. Maddie had a fun time playing with the girls, while Ezra observed from his jumper.
On Thursday Mads and I drove down to Madison to meet Gramma J, Aunt Kimmy, and Grandma Honey for lunch. We had a nice lunch at the Olive Garden and it was nice to spend some time visiting.
Friday I worked, so Maddie and Daddy had the afternoon to themselves and once I came home we just bummed around.
Saturday was a very fun day. We left the house around 9:30 and headed up to Door County. I read about the Pumpkin Festival in Egg Harbor and thought that would be fun. I figured we would be able to find lots of pumpkins for sale there and we could pick out Maddie's first pumpkin, but I was wrong. The festival wasn't too exciting. You could find brats, corn on the cob, popcorn, crafts, and such, but you couldn't find any pumpkins. So, we only stayed at the festival for an hour or so.
We then drove up the road to Fish Creek and hit a couple of shops there. Andrew was looking for the Oilery, but didn't find it. We did find some yummy fudge instead.
On our way back home we didn't take the highway we came up on, we took the scenic route instead. We came across a county park on Lake Michigan so we stopped there.
Maddie had her first experience with sand at the county park. She wasn't quite sure what to think. We got the whole experience on camera... these pictures are so adorable!
Then I snuck in for a picture with her... you can see she's still worried about her dirty hands, but we did manage to get a good picture!
Sunday was Maddie's nine month birthday. I know I say it every month, but I can't believe how big she's gotten!
We took her to Sears for her nine month pictures yesterday. I wasn't real happy with the service and we had some issues when we went for her six month pictures as well. We got a couple good ones, I will post those when we get them back. I think we'll try the Appleton Sears for her year pictures.
I do have one more picture I'd like to show you. If you look closely you can see Maddie's two teeth on the bottom.
Hope you have a good week. Thanks for stopping by!

A Pumpkin Festival without pumpkins? What were they thinking?
Oh my gosh, what great pictures. A pumpkin festival, I love it! So distinctly American. Maddie is just a doll, absolutely adore those little pigtails (or ponytails if you call them that). Too too cute.
