Those were the highlights of Maddie's week. She tried out bananas on Friday night and they were sure a hit. They might rival Pears as Maddie's favorite fruit. She ate two containers! We had stage one containers of the bananas, and they're smaller than the stage two sizes that she's used to eating, but she still ate two! :)
Then Sunday was a VERY exciting day. It was Maddie's first trip to Bay Beach in Green Bay ("Baby Each" as Claire and Nick call it!) Bay Beach is a little amusement park that has been around since before Andrew and Jill were kids. They remember it as a place where each ride only cost ten cents. These days you pay for the rides with tickets and each ticket costs a quarter, so it's still an inexpensive day of fun. Claire and Nick were very excited to take Maddie and show her all of the rides. Many of the rides are for toddlers and bigger kids, but Maddie was able to ride on the train, merry-go-round, and ladybugs. She had such a blast, especially on the merry-go-round where she was squealing with excitement!
Then of course after so much fun Maddie crashed in her stroller:
How cute are these kids?!
The rest of the week wasn't nearly as exciting. I was happy because Maddie was able to stay home with me on Thursday, Friday and yesterday. Other than that, it was a pretty standard week!
Thanks for stopping by!
I do have some random pictures for you, of course! :)
Um, Guys... there's no Nuk on the end of my Nuk string...
Playing Peek underneath the quilt rack:
Then she decided to take a nap!
There is a purple outfit that got passed down to Maddie from Claire. It was one of Jill's favorite outfits for Claire to wear. It's marked as a 6-9 month outfit, but it must be miss-marked. Claire was able to wear the outfit until she was almost three years old. We tried it on Maddie this past weekend since she's seven months and it's labeled as 6-9, but she just swam in it. We're looking forward to next summer when it might fit. Here is Claire wearing the outfit in August of 2006 and Maddie in August of 2008:
(Can you tell they're related?!)
Have a great week!
