With the big day coming quickly upon us - I realized that we were almost out of time and had some back to school shopping to finish up. I was able to get a morning off of work on August 27th, and the kids and I high-tailed it to Janesville to find our goods!
We hit Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, ShopKo, Kohl's, and Target to complete our list. We rewarded ourselves with a stop at Noodles and Company for lunch! :)
Look at these hams! They made themselves a thneed!
We continued our back to school preparations with a celebration dinner at the Melting Pot on Friday night, August 28th.
Cheers to a big Kindergartner and a Second Grader! (Kiddie cocktails, of course!)
YUM! Cheese fondue!
Celebrating our big kids!
Thumbs up for shrimp! This shrimp ate at least nine shrimp!
Mommy and Tater:
Daddy and the Pickle!
Marshmallows dipped in chocolate fondue have now proven to be helpful in removing loose teeth! Mads took a bite and all of a sudden she felt her tooth in her mouth, no longer stuck in her gums! Starting second grade with ANOTHER hole in her mouth! :)
The tooth ended up getting swallowed, so Mads was a bit bummed, but it was nothing that a note to the Tooth Fairy couldn't fix!
The Tooth Fairy did come through with payment for the lost tooth as well as her own note!
Monday night, August 31st, was Meet The Teacher. Nate said hello to Mrs. Tordoff, his Kindergarten teacher. We put away his supplies and found his table spot with all the important info to get us through the first week of school! :)
The big Kindergartner will be in Room 102!
Mads is in Miss Allen's class. She got to choose her own desk and put her supplies away. Here's the desk she chose! :)
On the way home I realized we didn't take a picture by her room number! Whoops!
I can't believe that both kiddos will be in school full time! Where have my tiny tots gone?
