Nathan celebrated his Fifth Birthday with a big family party on Sunday, June 28th.
Of course it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed!
We started out by eating all of the Turtle's favorites:

Nunchucks:
and of course, Pizza!!
Nate's cake was a fantastic work of art by Grandma Mamie! I know the kids will grow up and remember this tradition of beautiful cakes made with love!

and then it was time to blow out the candles!
It took him 4 tries!!

After cake was present time. Nate was able to read all of his cards by himself!
He got his own Packer lounge pillow from Auntie Jill!
We're so proud of his reading skills!

We had one more thing to do - Pin the Pepperoni on the Pizza!
Nate was blindfolded in his Ninja mask first:
We spun him 5 times and he came pretty close to the center of the pizza!
Mads gave it a go - she was a bit further out after her spins:
All the kids were happy to help spin Claire!
Nick was the winner!! Almost directly in the center! (Yep, that's Claire's errant 'roni completely off the pizza!)
Thanks to everyone who made Nathan's birthday special! We also are sending a giant thank you for those who gave gifts! (For the first time in my life I never got Thank You notes out! I'm sorry!)
