Welcome to our monthly random picture catch up!

March 15th was a Saturday, and most Saturdays in Monroe mean coffee with Grandma Honey and the ladies at Chocolate Temptations.  This particular Saturday Honey had all of her great grandkids at the table with her as Aunt Kimmy and Michael joined us too!  It was Nate's idea to take a group picture.  Yep, it's blurry and nobody is really looking at the camera - but you can still tell they're cute kids!  :)

There must've been something in the cold early March air because I found both kids hanging out in various rocking chairs in the house.  Normally they're busy and up to something with no time to sit down!

Mads chose a seat on the big rocker and read my Real Simple magazine to me.  "Mom!  This says how you can speed up your cleaning!"

I was able to score an extra day off of work on Tuesday the 25th.  Andrew was off as well, so we decided to have a family fancy dinner at the Melting Pot.  We haven't gotten much family time together recently usually one of the adults is at work and we don't get home until around 8PM.  I have never seen the kids behave so well at a restaurant, and we were there for two hours!

One morning I woke up with the theme song to Golden Girls in my head.  Since I was singing it and the kids hadn't heard it before I played it for them on Youtube.  Nathan was a big fan of the song and kept asking me to play it again, and again, and again.

On March 29th the kids had some fun climbing in Grandma & Grandpa's tree!

Two more pictures to melt your heart.  During one of Maddie's library days at school she saw a classmate pick up a book called "Because Amelia Smiled."  She wasn't able to get it that day but kept asking the librarian to let her know when it came back so that she could check it out.  She came home from school one day and was so excited to show me what was in her backpack.  She scored the book!  We read it with Nathan immediately.  

I noticed on the book jacket this quote from the author:  "The story of Amelia is bigger than anything that can fit in a book.  It's the story of how we are connected.  To people we love.  To people we don't even know.  Whether you know it or not, you are part of the story, too."

That absolutely took my breath away.  That is the exact story of our beautiful blessing, our sweet Amelia.  She IS bigger than anything in a book and she IS the story of how we are connected.  She's touching us all: family, friends, strangers, near and far.  And she made sure to remind us of that through her sister, Mads, and a book at the school library!
