This year we decided to hunt our very own real Christmas tree. In the ten years that Andrew and I have been together we've never had a real tree, so this was a new experience for our family!
We headed to Saxeville to Harmony Hill on the Saturday after Thanksgiving for our tree experience. We decided to hunt in the Fraser Fir area, and there were plenty of trees to choose from. Mads thought this one might be good, but upon further inspection decided it might be a bit short:
Nate running down the aisle of trees:
This is it! Mads in front of the winner!
Our family in front of our 2012 Christmas tree!
Grandpa Jeff & Grandma Marie came to help hunt trees, too!

Mads even helped drag the tree to the road for pick up!
Securing the tree to the van:
Success!
After the tree was in the house and in the stand, we let it settle overnight. On Sunday, after naps, we cranked up the Christmas tunes and decorated our tree.
