Since so much has happened with the holidays over the last two weeks, I'm going to separate my posts into occasions.
The weekend of Dec 17-19 was spent in Monroe. We got down to Monroe by 4:00 on Friday, just in time to turn around and head back to Madison for dinner at Ginza of Tokyo. We were celebrating my mom's birthday! We were a little nervous with how Mads would do with the noise and flames of the hibachi show, but she loved it! We had a fantastic time! Happy Birthday Mom!
Playing drums with the chopsticks and plate:
Aunt Kimmy teaches Mads the proper way to use chopsticks. (As I'm typing this, Mads sees the picture and says "Like a pencil!")
She's getting the hang of it! She did opt to use the fork with her food, though! :)
Oooh the flaming onion tower!
She felt much better about the flaming onion knowing that Fireman Jake could handle the situation if it got out of hand!
On Saturday the 18th we had two Christmases. The first was held at my cousin Melissa's house for the extended Wunschel family. We had a great time! It was so nice to see some of the family that we don't see as often as we would like to. We also had some pictures taken.

Thanks for hosting Melissa, it was a great time!
After we left Melissa's house we headed over to Dad & Marie's house for Christmas with the small family. It was Dad & Marie, Sarah, Trevor & Gavin, along with our family. We were missing the Golacksons, but hope that they had a great Christmas too!
Mads passing out presents. She was very serious about her job:
Opening gifts:
Sweet, a watch! Thanks to the Golacksons!
She was so excited about her watch!
We had a great weekend!
