Cheese Days Weekend!

Last weekend, September 17-19th was Cheese Days weekend.  This was both Madeline and Nathan's first Cheese Days.  Our Cheese Days fun started on Saturday morning with the craft fair.  We found a neat bubble wand and a fairy outfit for Mads.  Then we headed down to the square and stopped by the rides and games.  Mads rode five different rides, including her first roller coaster!

Driving the cars:

Riding the carousel with Grams
Kim's fiance', Jake, was nice enough to ride the rides with Mads that she was too small to ride on her own.
Hands Up!

After the rides Mads played a couple games.  First she played "Pick-A-Duck" and she won a little crocodile, water game and duck necklace.
Trying out the water game:
Then Jake played a dart game and won Mads a small stuffed frog:
Gramma Jackie helped Mads fish for a bass and won a blow up guitar!

After the rides and games we walked around the square and had some grilled cheese for lunch.  We also ran into some cute cutouts!

After playing with the cutouts we headed back to Grandma Jackie's house.  Shortly thereafter Mads, Nathan, and I went over to Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Marie's house.  We then decided to go back down to the Square to look for GG.  We didn't find her but Mads did get the chance to drive the little Fire Truck ride.  I also got Nathan a "Cheese Days" onesie and Mads a "Cheese Days" shirt.  The lady told me that this shirt was the smallest toddler shirt they had.  I highly doubt that as I saw many kidlets Maddie's size running around with Cheese Days shirts that fit.  Oh well, now we have a shirt that Mads can wear to the 2016 Cheese Days!  (You can't really get the full view in this picture, but this shirt is bigger than a dress!)
We didn't find GG on the Square so we headed over to her house to find her there.  She had some snuggle time with Nathan and Mads had fun playing with GG's toys!

Sunday was Parade Day!!  I was a bit nervous how Mads would do with the length of it (it was THREE hours long!)  But, she did great!!  She loved all of the bands and would dance as they came by.  She also collected more candy than I ever remember getting in all of my Cheese Days Parades!

The caravan to find our seats:
Prime viewing from the curb!
Mads and Aunt Kimmy covered up with hoods for the misty day
Had to get out the umbrella for about ten minutes when it was more than misting!  :)
Nathan is excited about the parade!
Pre-parade entertainment, Mads singing the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  (This came about because Jake brought over a plate of food, including a hot dog...)
Finally!  Parade time!
Mads loved the bands!
Racing sausages!

 Craziest motorcycle I've ever seen!
 Mads found a comfy spot!
 CANDY!
 Ronnie!  Maddie's favorite!
More candy!  (This pile actually came from cousin Ryan)
The spoils! (including two pencils, two necklaces, a bottle of water, and a stick of cheese!)
Nathan, Mads and I all had a great Cheese Days weekend!  (Poor Andrew had to stay home to work and pull bushes! - and the house looks AWESOME without those beastly bushes!)
