Saturday, July 2nd we woke up in Nashville - but found ourselves at the Parthenon by 9AM! No - really! There is a full size replica Parthenon in Nashville's Centennial Park. Who knew!! It is definitely breathtaking!

After taking in the Parthenon we headed into Kentucky...
Where we found Stonehenge!!
This isn't an exact replica - but showing points on a compass.
It was a pretty spot!
We traveled on to Louisville and stopped by Churchill Downs. There was racing that night, so it was pretty busy. We got the best pictures we could.

We came across this very neat pedestrian bridge - the Big Four Bridge. It connects Louisville, KY to Jeffersonville, IN while walking over the Ohio River.

A very neat looking bridge - also so neat that pedestrians can walk from one state to another!
When we were walking back to the van we found a pretty sweet hill - which reminded us of Claire & Nick's bucket list - and rolling down a hill is on it!
So the kids decided to take a roll themselves!
The kids shook their bellies up with their rolling - so we headed out for lunch! :) We found Mark's Feed Store and their BBQ was definitely more my to my liking. Their BBQ was super saucy and tasty!

Our next stop for the day was the Louisville Slugger Museum and the World's Largest Baseball bat!!
The Museum was super helpful and Andrew was able to snag a wheelchair for the tour!
Nate was able to hold Robin Yount's actual bat!
Mads took a turn with Paul Molitor's bat! (Looks like we need to work on her stance!)

Within the Louisville Slugger Museum is a small Ripley's Believe It or Not. There was a Yankee Stadium made of toothpicks - which amazed the kids!

After the tour - we got mini bats! I couldn't take any pictures during the tour as they were making MLB pro bats, but it was very neat to see the process!

Dinner was a surprise for the kids - PIE! We went to the Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen and man, was their pie tasty!! Mads chose strawberry rhubarb and Nate chose key lime.
Andrew and I dug into some GIGANTIC sundaes!

We made one last stop in Louisville - and that was the Optometry practice of Andrew's ICO Classmate - Harvey Eye :)
We said goodbye to Louisville and headed onward to our hotel in Cincinnati!
