We celebrated Nathan's birthday a little early this year with a party on Saturday, June 8th. We wanted to make sure that the little dude could have his special day without having to worry about a new brother or sister crashing the party!
We started out with some basic burn off your energy activities - such as the Bounce House. The only time the boys came out of it was to play baseball with Uncle Jakey!
Then it was lunch time. We had a nice set up for Nathan's "Subway" - his request. That boy loves sandwiches. Andrew actually asked Nate a few weeks ago where we should have his birthday party and Nate responded with "Subway in Neenah!" Since we didn't think that would work out so well, we have Nate's favorite sandwich fixin's! :)
After lunch was cake time! How fabulous is this Mike Wazowski (from Monsters, Inc) cake that Grandma Mary made?!
And cupcakes too!!
Nathan LOVED his Mike cake! It even matched his shirt! :)
Time for the candle - "Fire it up!" as Nathan said!
He's (almost) THREE!
Video from the cake:
Present time! Nate was very deliberate in taking the paper off each of the presents.
A soccer ball!!
I loved his face when he opened up the card with some money in it. He showed it off and said "This is for my pig!" And after the party was over he took it straight upstairs and put it in his piggy bank!
There's nothing better than new chalk!
Reading cards with Mommy:
Nathan and Nick play a round of Monster Ball!
Good bye hugs for GG!
Thanks to everyone who came to Nathan's Monster Party and helped make it special! We love you all!
