Wonderful Wedding Shower!

Yesterday was the day of our Wedding Shower and it was absolutely wonderful. Andrew and I had a great time seeing all of our friends and family and sharing the day with them. It rained for most of the day, but our garage seemed to hold everyone quite nicely. Luckily it wasn't so darn hot like it's been for the last couple of weeks. It was actually too chilly for some of our attendees! If you were someone who came to the shower, Thank you so much for making it a great day!
On the baby news front, the appointment with the midwife last Monday went fine. I told her all about my arthritis and she consulted with a rheumatologist for me. The rheumatologist, however, wasn't as helpful. He won't give the okay for me to go back on meds since he hasn't seen me. My family practice doc had actually called a few weeks ago and scheduled an appointment with this rheumatologist for me and the first available appointment was on Halloween! So, when my midwife was talking with the rheumatologist she was trying to get me bumped up. No can do he said, but he has office hours in Green Bay. So, I called the Green Bay office and I could get in for this Thursday already!! Long drive, but I need some pain relief!! I really hope that he will restart my pain meds once he sees me on Thursday!
It seems that the pain has spread everywhere. The bulk of it is in my feet, heels especially. It's very hard for me to stand up and get moving. Once I'm moving it's better if I stay moving, but at the same time my feet hurt and I want to sit down. There's no winning! Pain one way or the other!
Besides the arthritis everything is going well. We heard peanut's heartbeat at the appointment on Monday. We also scheduled our 20 week Ultrasound for September 14th. We were hoping to get in on Sept 7 and have baby pictures in time for Andrew's big birthday that's coming up. Hopefully he'll accept the belated gift!
Well, that's all for now. I will let you know about the rheumatology appointment after Thursday!

I am really glad that you had a great shower. I hope that drive to Green Bay is worth it and that Dr. can get things under control. Keep us posted...pun intended. :)
